Day 1 - ARRIVE CASABLANCA

Welcome to Morocco, considered the 'Jewel of North Africa'! Known to the Arabs as "the farthest land of the setting sun!", it is a land so intrinsically beautiful and rich with heritage, it has attracted seekers of the exotic over the centuries. Even for the most seasoned travellers, there is much to see and do. On arrival at Casablanca Airport, your airport shuttle service leaves for the tour hotel at 09:00, 11:00, 13:00 & 15:00. Day 2 - CASABLANCA- RABAT- MEKNES- FEZ

After a sightseeing tour of Casablanca, depart for the capital Rabat to see the mausoleum of King Mohammed V and the Royal Palace. Now on to one of the kingdom's imperial cities, Meknes, dating back to the 11th century, its surroundings remaining unchanged for centuries. Make a rare highlight visit inside the mosque and see Bab el-Mansour gateway before continuing to Fez. Hotel: Ramada Fez. (BB,D)

Day 3 - FEZ SIGHTSEEING

A day packed with fantastic sights and smells as you tour this carefully preserved university city, which had its golden age in the fourteenth century, during the reign of the Merinides dynasty. Visit the medina of Fez and walk through its old streets. See one of the oldest universities in the world, taking time to haggle in the Bazaar and see Moroccan pottery. Oriental rugs are an attraction for bargain hunters- witness this most important handicraft of Fez. Enjoy a superb Moroccan dinner and a folklore show with drums and belly dancing. (BB,HD)

Day 4 - FEZ- ZIZ GORGES- ERFOUD

Leave the bustle of the city behind and head for the spectacular snow-capped High Atlas Mountains. Pass through Ifrane before reaching the great cedar forests of Azrou. Travel up through the magnificent Ziz Gorges, past palm fringed towns to Er Rachidia, built by the French at an important crossroads. Your destination is Erfoud, on the edge of the Sahara Desert.

Day 5 - ERFOUD- TODRA GORGE- DADES VALLEY- OUARZAZATE

This morning there is the option of taking camels into the Sahara to witness the glorious sunrise. Later, venture towards the oasis of Tinehir, noted for its silver and jewellery workshops. Take a detour to explore the Todra Gorge- the Grand Canyon of the Sahara. At Boumalne-du-Dades, encounter the dry rugged Dades Valley, dotted with oases of figs, olives, date palms and with castellated mud houses hugging the slopes. The route concludes at Ouarzazate, film capital of Morocco, with everything from Lawrence of Arabia to Star Wars being filmed here. Hotel: La Berbere Palace. (BB,L,D)

Day 6 - OUARZAZATE- AIT BENHADDOU- MARRAKESH

Get your cameras ready as you stop at the village of Aït Benhaddou, boasting one of Morocco's finest kasbahs. Continue via the spectacular Tizi n'Tichka Pass before descending past charming mountain villages, dense woods and green fields to the ochre coloured city of Marrakesh.

Day 7 - MARRAKESH

Sightseeing includes an exploration of the fascinating Medina (old town), the Koutoubia Mosque, whose minaret dominates the Marrakesh skyline, and a visit to the secluded tombs of the Saadi dynasty, hidden behind high walls. After some time to watch the dancers, storytellers and acrobats at the bustling Djemaa El Fna Square, take a scenic drive south of Marrakesh to the beautiful Ourika Valley. Visit a Moroccan family home to witness a traditional mint tea preparation ceremony before returning to your hotel. Tonight, maybe consider an optional horse and buggy ride to the magical Jemaa el Fna Square to enjoy the sights and sounds by night, followed by dinner in a typical Moroccan restaurant (BB)

Day 8 - MARRAKESH- CASABLANCA

Heading towards the Atlantic coast, say goodbye to the snake charmers of Marrakesh and drive back to Casablanca. Now you've experienced the traditional charms of the country, Casablanca is a fascinating place to return to, offering a unique insight into modern Morocco. Day 3 Nairobi-Arusha-Lake Manyara (BLD)
An early departure takes you south across the border into Arusha for lunch before continuing on to the Lake Manyara Serena Lodge. As you approach Lake Manyara, you are sure to be struck by the dramatic views. The lake lies in a depressed valley with the brown and red cliffs of the escarpment rising strikingly on one side.

Day 4 Lake Manyara-Serengeti (BLD)
This morning, enjoy game viewing in the nearby park. Watch for hippo in the Simba River, elephants in the forest and Cape buffalo on the open plains at Mahali pa Nyati, which means "the place of the buffalo" in Swahili. Birdwatchers, you have more than 400 species of birds to delight you. Return to the lodge for lunch and then continue to the Serengeti and the Serengeti Serena Lodge. Serengeti Serena Lodge

Day 5 Serengeti (BLD)
The name Serengeti is derived from the Maasai word “siringet”, which means endless plains. Game-viewing is exciting year-round, as the Serengeti supports large prides of lions as well as a healthy amount of leopards. A full day in the Serengeti allows time for both morning and afternoon game drives.

Day 6 Serengeti-Ngorongoro (BLD)
After breakfast, you drive takes you to Ngorongoro Conservation area. Your first stop this morning is at Olduvai Gorge. Resembling a long, dry trench, the Gorge is a veritable archaeological treasure-trove. Louis and Mary Leakey spent more than 28 years sifting through hundreds of fossils before uncovering the “homo habilis” (Handy Man), datiang back more than 1.6 million years. Day 7 Ngorongoro (BLD)
Supporting more than 25,000 mammals, the Ngorongoro Crater is home to a wide variety of both herbivores and carnivores. Zebra, wildebeest, buffalo and eland are abundant. With such a rich food supply, carnivores like lion, hyenas and leopard are also at home in the crater. Watch for the kori bustard (the world's largest flying bird) to see if you can spot its elaborate territorial display during breeding season. Day 8 Ngorongoro-Nairobi-Depart (BLD)
Return to Arusha for lunch and then continue back to Nairobi where you will have dinner at the Carnivore Restaurant before departing on the overnight flight to London.

Day 5 Lake Manyara-Serengeti (BLD)
Spend the morning on a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. Thanks to the wide variety of habitats found inside the park, game is plentiful. Be on the lookout for the graceful impala, the mischievous baboon and much more. Return to the lodge for lunch and then continue your drive to Tanzania’s most famous park, the Serengeti. Day 6 Serengeti (BLD)
Rise early this morning to enjoy a game drive as the animals begin to stir across the expansive plains of the Serengeti. You’ll have time to relax at your lodge during the heat of the day before heading out on an afternoon game drive. Game is abundant in the Serengeti: wildebeest, zebra, buffalo and impala all dot the horizon. Day 7 Serengeti-Ngorongoro (BLD)
Your first stop today is at Olduvai Gorge, site of some of the most significant archaeological excavations. After stopping for a picnic lunch, continue on to the Ngorongoro Conservation area where the remainder of the day is at leisure. Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge

Day 8 Ngorongoro (BLD)

Day 5 Masai Mara-Great Rift Valley (BLD)
Leaving the Masai Mara after breakfast with a picnic lunch, you’ll travel across the ‘breadbasket’ of Kenya, past Narok and on to the vast plains on the floor of the Rift Valley. Watch for herds of giraffe and gazelle as you head up the Mau Escarpment, before arriving at Lake Nakuru. The waters here are often coloured shimmering flamingo pink, from thousands of the beautiful birds lining its shores. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in Nakuru National Park before continuing to the Lake Naivasha for dinner and overnight.

Day 8 Amboseli-Depart (BD) Following an early breakfast, you'll catch your last views of the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro as you depart Amboseli viewing game en route to the border of the park and on to Nairobi. A stop at the Karen Blixen Museum provides time to walk the grounds and picture life in the days the famous author of "Out of Africa" lived here. Travel by road to William Holden's former retreat set at the foot of majestic Mt. Kenya. The afternoon is at leisure to enjoy the 110-acre setting. Perhaps a round of golf or relaxation by the pool?

Day 6 Mt. Kenya-Masai Mara (BLD)
Transfer to the airstrip for your light aircraft flight to the Masai Mara and your tented camp set along the banks of the Mara River.
