Welcome to Morocco, considered the 'Jewel of North Africa'! Day 2 - CASABLANCA- RABAT- MEKNES- FEZ

After a sightseeing tour of Casablanca, depart for the capital Rabat to see the mausoleum of King Mohammed V and the Royal Palace. Now on to one of the kingdom's imperial cities, Meknes, dating back to the 11th century, its surroundings remaining unchanged for centuries. Day 3 - FEZ SIGHTSEEING

A day packed with fantastic sights and smells as you tour this carefully preserved university city, which had its golden age in the fourteenth century, during the reign of the Merinides dynasty. Visit the medina of Fez and walk through its old streets. See one of the oldest universities in the world, taking time to haggle in the Bazaar and see Moroccan pottery. Oriental rugs are an attraction for bargain hunters- witness this most important handicraft of Fez. Enjoy a superb Moroccan dinner and a folklore show with drums and belly dancing. (BB,HD)

Day 4 - FEZ- ZIZ GORGES- ERFOUD

Leave the bustle of the city behind and head for the spectacular snow-capped High Atlas Mountains. Pass through Ifrane before reaching the great cedar forests of Azrou. Travel up through the magnificent Ziz Gorges, past palm fringed towns to Er Rachidia, built by the French at an important crossroads. Your destination is Erfoud, on the edge of the Sahara Desert.

Day 5 - ERFOUD- TODRA GORGE- DADES VALLEY- OUARZAZATE

This morning there is the option of taking camels into the Sahara to witness the glorious sunrise. Later, venture towards the oasis of Tinehir, noted for its silver and jewellery workshops. Take a detour to explore the Todra Gorge- the Grand Canyon of the Sahara. At Boumalne-du-Dades, encounter the dry rugged Dades Valley, dotted with oases of figs, olives, date palms and with castellated mud houses hugging the slopes. Day 6 - OUARZAZATE- AIT BENHADDOU- MARRAKESH

Get your cameras ready as you stop at the village of Aït Benhaddou, boasting one of Morocco's finest kasbahs. Continue via the spectacular Tizi n'Tichka Pass before descending past charming mountain villages, dense woods and green fields to the ochre coloured city of Marrakesh.

Day 7 - MARRAKESH

Sightseeing includes an exploration of the fascinating Medina (old town), the Koutoubia Mosque, whose minaret dominates the Marrakesh skyline, and a visit to the secluded tombs of the Saadi dynasty, hidden behind high walls. After some time to watch the dancers, storytellers and acrobats at the bustling Djemaa El Fna Square, take a scenic drive south of Marrakesh to the beautiful Ourika Valley. Visit a Moroccan family home to witness a traditional mint tea preparation ceremony before returning to your hotel. This morning, enjoy game viewing in the nearby park. Watch for hippo in the Simba River, elephants in the forest and Cape buffalo on the open plains at Mahali pa Nyati, which means "the place of the buffalo" in Swahili. The name Serengeti is derived from the Maasai word “siringet”, which means endless plains. Game-viewing is exciting year-round, as the Serengeti supports large prides of lions as well as a healthy amount of leopards. After breakfast, you drive takes you to Ngorongoro Conservation area. Your first stop this morning is at Olduvai Gorge. Resembling a long, dry trench, the Gorge is a veritable archaeological treasure-trove. Louis and Mary Leakey spent more than 28 years sifting through hundreds of fossils before uncovering the “homo habilis” (Handy Man), datiang back more than 1.6 million years. Day 7 Ngorongoro (BLD)
Supporting more than 25,000 mammals, the Ngorongoro Crater is home to a wide variety of both herbivores and carnivores. Zebra, wildebeest, buffalo and eland are abundant. With such a rich food supply, carnivores like lion, hyenas and leopard are also at home in the crater. Watch for the kori bustard (the world's largest flying bird) to see if you can spot its elaborate territorial display during breeding season. Drive along the Atlantic seaboard past Camps Bay, Clifton and Llandudno, referred to as "Millionaires Paradise". Visit Hout Bay and its harbour where there is time to take an optional Seal Island Cruise. Continue along Chapmans Peak to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and its scenic viewing point. Day 4 Cape Town (B)
Depart this morning on a full day tour to the Cape Peninsula. See for yourself how this spectacular southern tip of Africa became known as the "Fairest Cape". Drive along the Atlantic seaboard past Camps Bay, Clifton and Llandudno, referred to as "Millionaires Paradise". Visit Hout Bay and its harbour where there is time to take an optional Seal Island Cruise. Continue along Chapmans Peak to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and its scenic viewing point. Stop at Boulders Beach to see the African penguins, and then travel through the naval port of Simon’s Town. Simon’s Town is situated on False Bay and is rich in history, character and atmosphere. Return later this afternoon to your hotel.

Transfer back to Cape Town International Airport this morning and check in for your flight to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport where you will be met and transferred to Protea Kruger Gate, situated pjust 100metres from the Kruger Gate Entrance to the Kruger National Park.

Two wonderful experiences await today. Early this morning, enjoy another game drive in Kruger National Park. This afternoon, a short drive takes you to Hazyview for an incredible encounter with the gentle giants of the plains - the African Elephant. At Elephant Whispers you will experience the thrill of being close to these magnificent creatures to witness their intellingence, their compassionate nature and sheer delight interacting with their human counterparts. The interaction with the elephants offers you the opportunity to touch the Elephants, exchange trunk greetings and offer tasty treats. After breakfast, depart on the morning flight back to Nairobi. This afternoon, travel out into the Ngong Hills and visit the former home of Karen von Blixen, now a museum. Fly to Arusha this morning and connect to the light aircraft flight to the northwestern corridor of the Serengeti.
