across the border into Tanzania. Stop in Arusha for

location provides stunning panoramas of the Valley.

Spend the morning on a game drive
in Lake Manyara National Park. Thanks to the wide variety
of habitats found inside the park, game is plentiful.
Be on the lookout for the graceful impala, the mischievous
baboon and much more. Return to the lodge for lunch
and then drive to Olduvai Gorge, site of some of the
most significant archaeological excavations. After time
to visit the small museum, continue to Tanzania's most
famous park, the Serengeti.

Day 6 Serengeti (BLD)
Rise early this morning to enjoy
a game drive as the animals begin to stir across the
expansive plains of the Serengeti. You’ll have
time to relax at your lodge during the heat of the day
before heading out on an afternoon game drive. Game
is abundant in the Serengeti: wildebeest, zebra, buffalo
and impala all dot the horizon. The predators are found
here as well and you will almost certainly spot lion
and cheetah during your stay.

Depart the Serengeti early this
morning, with a picnic lunch. As soon as you arrive
in Ngorongoro, a highlight awaits as you descend 2,000
feet to the Crater floor for an afternoon game drive.
The Crater’s wide variety of habitats allows it
to support abundant wildlife. Birdlife is equally spectacular
- be sure to have your binoculars ready.

Your journey takes you to Tarangire
today. Thanks to the permanent water supply of the Tarangire
River, the park is a dry-season haven for huge herds
of wildebeest, zebra and other plains game. During your

baobab trees.

Rise early this morning for the
first of two game drives today. Tarangire is famous
for its elepehant population, but you will also spot

head out on your first game drive in Kenya’s most
famous reserve. Keep your eyes open, as there is always

Leaving the Masai Mara after breakfast
with a picnic lunch, you’ll travel across the
‘breadbasket’ of Kenya, past Narok and on
to the vast plains on the floor of the Rift Valley.
Watch for herds of giraffe and gazelle as you head up
the Mau Escarpment, before arriving at Lake Nakuru.
The waters here are often coloured shimmering flamingo
pink, from thousands of the beautiful birds lining its

Transfer to the airport for
the short light aircraft flight to the Masai Mara. Here,
lodge vehicles will meet and transfer you to the camp.

Rise early this morning for
a game drive before breakfast. Return to the lodge for
time at leisure before heading out on an afternoon game
drive. Among the variety of wildlife you might see are
lion, cheetah, hippo, giraffe, gazelle, elephant and
a host of birdlife. Look carefully for the Lilac Breasted
Roller, one of the prettiest birds in Kenya.

Day 12 Masai Mara-Nairobi (BD)
After breakfast, depart on
the morning flight back to Nairobi. This afternoon,
travel out into the Ngong Hills and visit the former
home of Karen von Blixen, now a museum. Then, continue
on to the Giraffe Center for a delightful time feeding
the giraffe. Tonight, enjoy dinner in the elegant Mandhari
Restaurant.

Day 13 Nairobi-Serengeti (BLD)
Fly to Arusha this morning
and connect to the light aircraft flight to the northwestern
corridor of the Serengeti. Camp vehicles will greet
you at the airstrip and transfer you to your luxury
camp with spectacular views of the plains. Enjoy a cocktail
before an extraordinary dinner, complete with china
and crystal service.

Rise early this morning for
a game drive in the park, returning to the camp for
breakfast and some leisure time. The camp’s terrace
faces out over the plains and is ideal for catching
up on journal entries or writing postcards. This afternoon

A light aircraft flight takes
you back to Nairobi, via Arusha. The remainder of the
