Today, your drive takes you south, across the border into Tanzania. Stop in Arusha for lunch before continuing across the Masai Steppe into the Great Rift Valley and Lake Manyara. The views are particularly breathtaking here and your lodge’s location provides stunning panoramas of the Valley.

Day 5 Lake Manyara-Serengeti (BLD)
Spend the morning on a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. Thanks to the wide variety of habitats found inside the park, game is plentiful. Be on the lookout for the graceful impala, the mischievous baboon and much more. Return to the lodge for lunch and then drive to Olduvai Gorge, site of some of the most significant archaeological excavations. After time to visit the small museum, continue to Tanzania's most famous park, the Serengeti.

Day 6 Serengeti (BLD)
Rise early this morning to enjoy a game drive as the animals begin to stir across the expansive plains of the Serengeti. You’ll have time to relax at your lodge during the heat of the day before heading out on an afternoon game drive. Game is abundant in the Serengeti: wildebeest, zebra, buffalo and impala all dot the horizon. The predators are found here as well and you will almost certainly spot lion and cheetah during your stay.

Day 7 Serengeti-Ngorongoro (BLD)
Depart the Serengeti early this morning, with a picnic lunch. As soon as you arrive in Ngorongoro, a highlight awaits as you descend 2,000 feet to the Crater floor for an afternoon game drive. The Crater’s wide variety of habitats allows it to support abundant wildlife. Birdlife is equally spectacular - be sure to have your binoculars ready.

Day 8 Ngorongoro-Tarangire (BLD)
Your journey takes you to Tarangire today. Thanks to the permanent water supply of the Tarangire River, the park is a dry-season haven for huge herds of wildebeest, zebra and other plains game. During your afternoon game drive, enjoy the vistas dotted with majestic baobab trees.

Day 5 Masai Mara-Great Rift Valley (BLD)
Leaving the Masai Mara after breakfast with a picnic lunch, you’ll travel across the ‘breadbasket’ of Kenya, past Narok and on to the vast plains on the floor of the Rift Valley. Watch for herds of giraffe and gazelle as you head up the Mau Escarpment, before arriving at Lake Nakuru. The waters here are often coloured shimmering flamingo pink, from thousands of the beautiful birds lining its shores. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in Nakuru National Park before continuing to the Lake Naivasha for dinner and overnight.

Leaving Lake Naivasha behind, enjoy the spectacular views as you travel out of the Great Rift Valley and on through Kenya's highlands.
