This morning cruise through the scenic waters of the Bay of Islands to Cape Brett Lighthouse and through the famous "Hole in the Rock" (weather permitting.) Rejoin the coach and enjoy the scenic return journey to Auckland. Overnight: Auckland, Mercure Hotel
Day 6 Mt. Eden, Waitomo Glowworm Caves, Rotorua, Maori Hangi (BD)
This morning journey to the top of Mt. Eden, Auckland's highest extinct volcano for spectacular views of the city and harbour. We then head south through some of New Zealand's most fertile famland to the Waitomo Glowworm Caves. Board your boat to drift quietly beneath the lights of thousands of glowworms. There is only the gently sound of dripping water to remind you that you are deep underground and not beneath a star filled sky. Continue on to the Whakarewarewa Forest for a relaxing stroll through the towering Californian Coastal Redwoods. Arrive in Rotorua, the heartland of New Zealand's Maori culture where tonight you will be entertained at a traditional Maori cultural performance followed bya Hangi feast. Day 7 Gondola Ride, Skyline Breakfast, Thermal Reserve, Maori Arts Center (B)
Enjoy a spectacular views over the city and Lake Rotorua on your Gondola ride up to Skyline Restaurant for breakfast. After breakfast continue on to the Agrodome for an entertaining show of sheep shearing and farm dog trials. We then travel to the amazing Te Puia Thermal reserve and the Maori Arts and Craft Institute. We give you the choice of what to do this afternoon and it's included at no extra cost. See the Wairakei Geothermal Power Station, Huka Falls and Lake Taupo. Continue south through the world famous Tongariro National Park as featured in the "Lord of the Rings" movies. Uon arrival in Wellington, enjoy a guided tour of Te Papa, New Zealand's innovative national museum.

This morning we board the Interislander Ferry for our cruise from the north to the south island. We cruise through the breathtaking beauty of the Marlborough Sounds and then wind our way through the gentle waterways of the Queen Charlotte Sounds. Arriving in Picton, it's back on the coach as we journey down through the wine region of Blenheim and along the spectacular east coast, inclduing a short stop at the Kaikoura seal colony. Tonight stay in the garden city of Christchurch.

Day 4. Wellington, Nelson Today our Inter-Island cruise takes us across Cook Strait to the South Island. This afternoon journey to Nelson where upon arrival we visit the World of Wearable Arts Museum.

Day 5. Nelson, Franz Josef Journey to the West Coast and follow the rugged coastline to Franz Josef. Perhaps enjoy a scenic flight (weather permitting, own expense). Tonight enjoy our delicious West Coast Specialty dinner.

Day 6. Franz Josef, Wanaka View incredible scenery today, crossing the Southern Alps. Enter the Southern Lakes district and travel to Wanaka township where you will have an overnight stay in this inspiring place of peace and tranquillity.

Day 7. FREEDOM OF CHOICE, Dunedin Journey through the heart of Central Otago to the East Coast and Dunedin. On arrival enjoy a choice of activities, included in your tour.
